Roger Corman has given a lot of actors and directors their Hollywood breaks, including Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, and Jack Nicholson. Now Corman can add Conan O’Brien to that list after O’Brien premiered his entire two minute cameo from Corman’s Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda last night on Conan:
We’ll have to wait to see if how many awards O’Brien wins for his portrayal of smarmy, egotist Conan O’Brien, but I’m not sure Benedict Cumberbatch could have pulled off being decapitated by a sharktopus with as much emotion as O’Brien. Hopefully, he does not get shut out like David Letterman did for his cameo in 1994’s Cabin Boy:
Sharktopus vs. Ptercuda premieres August 2nd on Syfy.
