WATCH: Marvel releases Comic-Con video of Thor during Captain America: Civil War

For many fans and moviegoers, a natural question to ask while watching Captain America: Civil War this spring might have been “Where’s Thor?”

The Norse God of Thunder surely could have helped resolve the conflict between Captain America, Iron Man and the various Avengers each of them recruited to a side in a dispute over superheroes registering with the government. Maybe Thor was on Asgard or traveling the galaxy looking for the Infinity Stones, as he seemed intent upon at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Or maybe Thor was just taking some me time, hanging out with his new roommate and meeting hipster Bruce Banner (also nowhere to be seen during Civil War) for coffee. Here’s a fun video that Marvel showed fans during Comic-Con that has now been posted online (and will be on the Civil War Blu-ray):

Thor just likes to leave that hammer, Mjölnir, anywhere around the house. But maybe Tony Stark could hook up his teammate with a phone. You know, just in case of emergencies like Avengers clashing or terrorist attacks on African nations?

Chris Hemsworth is great in this video, continuing to show the gift for comedy that he demonstrated in Vacation and Ghostbusters. Somebody needs to cast this guy in a romantic comedy. Do they make good ones anymore? Or maybe Marvel can make Thor: Ragnarok a straight-up comedy. Maybe there’s a bit of that in mind with Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) directing the film.
