Here’s a look at the new Batmobile from ‘Batman v. Superman’

We’ve previously gotten glimpses of the new Batmobile from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Director Zack Snyder tweeted out a photo of the vehicle with a tarp over it and the first image of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight showed him standing in front of his wheels.

But we still hadn’t seen a full image of Batman’s ride. That is, until now. Arthur Macro either had access to the movie’s shooting location or somehow got to hang out in an alley where the new Batmobile was parked, and posted photos of the vehicle on his Instagram.

Whether intentional or not, a regular car is parked behind the Batmobile to provide an idea of how much bigger Batman’s car is than a typical four-door coupe. As the original teaser photo indicated, it’s kind of a combination of the tank-like vehicle (with giant tires) from Christopher Nolan’s Batman films and something more sporty. The doors that open up resemble wings (or maybe really big bat ears), which is a nice stylistic touch.

Though seemingly sleek and low to the ground from a street-level angle, The Verge has an overhead shot of the Batmobile that shows how large the car — with someone sitting in the driver’s seat — really is.

Now that these photos are out, maybe Warner Brothers or Snyder will soon reveal an “official” shot of the Batmobile — maybe even with a full-body shot of Batfleck beside it.
