The newest installment of NBC’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ is here

Last week, NBC announced the new cast of Celebrity Apprentice — the seventh season featuring celebs and 14th overall — that will premiere on Jan. 4, 2015.

The lineup is interesting, to say the least. And apparently, during an appearance on Today, host Donald Trump alluded to this cast hating each other more than on any previous show. The new cast is as follows:

•    Kate Gosselin
•    Ian Ziering
•    Kevin Jonas
•    Geraldo Rivera
•    Brandi Glanville
•    Gold-medal gymnast Shawn Johnson
•    Deadliest Catch captain Sig Hansen
•    Vivica A. Fox
•    Gilbert Gottfried
•    Lorenzo Lamas
•    Leeza Gibbons
•    Kenya Moore
•    Johnny Damon
•    Terrell Owens
•    Keshia Knight Pulliam
•    Gold-medal snowboarder Jamie Anderson

The celebrities compete to raise money for charity and don’t actually get to keep anything, which is why I am surprised Kate Gosselin is doing this. Didn’t she just have a yard sale because she’s broke? Also, I just don’t see her playing well with anyone. Same goes for Brandi Glanville, who regularly gets into Twitter spats and/or throws shade at her ex-husband’s wife (LeAnn Rimes, to everyone else).

I think we’re primed for cat fights on a weekly basis.

Former winner, the late Joan Rivers, will appear on two of the episodes as a guest advisor. Last season’s winner, Trace Adkins, is also set to appear.

I’ll be honest — I haven’t watched this show since the first or second season, but we might have to bring you weekly recaps of this one because it looks like it will be a hot, hot mess. The show is using celebrities more regularly due to bad ratings, so it will be interesting to see how this latest installment does. It cannot possibly be worse than I Wanna Marry ‘Harry,’ so we can all take comfort in that, at least.

The contestants are giving us the same generic tweets about their appearances (unless you’re Kevin Jonas, who hasn’t tweeted since Oct. 18. Get it together, Kev):

My predictions:

Fired the first week: Kevin Jonas, because do I really need to explain why?

Winner: Ian Ziering, because STEVE SANDERS NEVER LOSES.

Dark Horse who I think should get fired week one but will last longer than they should by using dirty, ruthless tactics: Kate Gosselin
