Sleater-Kinney rocks with ‘Bob’s Burgers’ for ‘A New Wave’ video

Getting a new video from Sleater-Kinney is cool enough. But how about a video with the band in the world of Bob’s Burgers? That’s what the band and the Fox cartoon have produced for the song “A New Wave.”

In the video, Sleater-Kinney rocks out in the bedroom of Tina Belcher (the coolest teenager on TV) with her siblings, Louise and Gene, soon joining in. Eventually, everyone is rocking so hard that plaster from the ceiling begins falling onto Tina’s parents, Bob and Linda.

Sleater-Kinney and Bob’s Burgers make a phenomenally cool combination. The band and show are such a good fit together. Other bands and animated programs could try something similar, but would they feel as natural? Especially when Tina seems like she’d be really into Sleater-Kinney and excited about a new album.

Between this video for “A New Wave” and all of the celebrities in “No Cities to Love,” Sleater-Kinney has produced two of the more memorable, viral videos of the year thus far.
