‘Celebrity Apprentice’ recap: Three become two

For the sake of disclosure, I should mention I’ve been watching Celebrity Apprentice episodes online after the fact so I can bring to you all my amazing screen shots. Therefore, I skipped episode seven, because it was a thrown together episode of worst firings, performances, etc, and not relevant to THIS season.

Episode eight picks up with the remaining two clowns and Leeza Gibbons waiting in the war room to see who all comes back. Well, since Trumpet fired ALL of Infinity last week, he summons Leeza, Vivica A. Fox and Geraldo Rivera back into the boardroom to announce that three will soon become two.

Vivica tells Trumpet that she has every desire to be the next apprentice. I am SO confused. This is not like normal Apprentice where the winner gets a job. She’s playing for a lot of money, yes, but she won’t actually be an apprentice of Trumpet’s or Leeza’s or anyone else’s for that matter.

Trumpet really never holds back on asking the hard questions, such as the one to Vivica on whether he should keep Leeza over her. Vivica does something astounding and says that yes, Leeza is better and Trumpet should keep her. And that’s what he does.

So now we’re down to one clown who thinks he’s Mt. Rushmore, and Leeza who fucking ROCKS. She is seriously so smart and an amazing leader, and thus far the only person who has been able to shut down Geraldo’s ideas without him blowing a gasket and becoming Old Faithful.

The last task is to take a private jet to Universal Orlando and create a commercial to sell vacation packages. Money raised by selling packages will factor into this task but won’t be the ONLY or deciding factor.

Kevin Jonas (Geraldo’s main arch nemesis), Johnny Damon, and Brandi Glanville are asked back as helpers for Leeza. This is perfect, as Kevin’s main objective is to crush Geraldo. Leeza wants the theme of the ad to be The Magic of Memories and she wants to get her gal pal Olivia Newton-John to perform at the red carpet presentation of the commercials. (No, seriously.)

For his helpers, Old Faithful gets Vivica, Lorenzo Lamas and… #TEAMSTEVESANDERS!!! How could the producers do this to me?? I want Geraldo to get crushed but I am always and forever #TeamSteveSanders. This is a dilemma for which I am not prepared. Also, I do not think Ian is prepared for any of Geraldo’s ideas as we can clearly see by this amazing facial expression.

Geraldo of COURSE wants to use himself in the commercial because no one is more recognizable and important than Geraldo. Gag me with a Fifty Shades of Grey gag. He wants to dress up like Harry Potter and take kids on a tour without their parents because of course THAT makes sense. Yeah, Universal has the new Harry Potter world, but Geraldo is 70, not 15, and I don’t see how this could EVER POSSIBLY WORK FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HUMAN HOW IS THIS JACKASS IN THE FINALS I HATE EVERYONE.

Geraldo at some point also drops that he’s friends with Josh Groban and wants him to be a part of the commercial and/or red carpet presentation. Amazing. I can only imagine Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John battling over who can get the most physical.

Johnny and Brandi are sent shopping for props and mail in that assignment to go ride roller coasters. This is after they already disappeared earlier to score hot dogs and beers while Kevin and Leeza were trying to get shots for the commercial. Leeza, however, is unphased.

We end the episode with a “cliffhanger” of drama over the kid actors Geraldo wants to use being MIA. The concept was that Geraldo, as Harry Potter, would lead these kids on some sort of journey that I cannot imagine any child would want to go on, but that’s just me. Ian and Vivica are smug in the fact that Geraldo is all over the place and why shouldn’t they be? He wants to be the star of every show and listens to no one. It’s about time this dude goes down.

I believe next week is the live finale to determine the winner. I am not sure if this will be one episode or seven hours of board room nonsense, but this week’s episode actually being limited to one hour only was surely a treat for me. It’s time I sacrifice my love for #TeamSteveSanders for the greater good and declare myself fully #TeamLeeza because the answer is NO, Geraldo!
