Josh Gad has not given up with trying to get details on the next Star Wars movie from Daisy Ridley. The two are starring together in Kenneth Branagh’s remake of Murder on the Orient Express and last week, Gad attempted to get Ridley to spill some information on The Last Jedi under the pretense of inviting him to his trailer to go over an upcoming scene they had together.
Despite Gad’s best efforts — including revealing that Olaf, voiced by Gad, will be in Frozen 2 — Ridley, much like her Star Wars character Rey, was tough and determined. Not only did she resist Gad’s interrogation, she may have also been a bit annoyed at the attempt. (If you believe that the whole scenario wasn’t a bit for the benefit of social media.)
But Gad is also showing some determination, refusing to squander the opportunity of learning something about Star Wars: Episode 8 while they’re working together on a film production. In the latest chapter of what could become a social media/ pop culture saga, Gad once again attempted to trick Ridley into giving away what she knows about Episode 8’s story while the two went over lines in Gad’s trailer. The endeavor went as you might expect.
Had follow-up w/ Daisy Ridley on set today to apologize for #StarWars #TheLastJedi sneak attack last week. Suffice it to say didn't go well pic.twitter.com/keVz0xgqLQ

Again, Gad gets an strong grade for his effort, trying to disguise his Star Wars inquiries as questions from Orient Express director Branagh. Who are Rey’s parents? Am I a Jedi? Is Finn paralyzed from the waist down? (That’s a particularly intriguing question, following the events of The Force Awakens when Finn found himself on the business end of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.) And hey, maybe Branagh wants to know this stuff too. The director is the boss on a movie set. Regardless, Ridley would have none of it (as this presumed running gag continues).
But we did learn that Ridley likes honey ginger tea, presumably to soothe those vocal cords before she goes on the set. So this wasn’t an entire waste if you’re interested in such trivia. We also may have learned that if Ridley indeed does wield the power of The Force, Gad may be in danger of getting pushed against the wall or locked in a chokehold. Although she doesn’t seem quite as mean as Darth Vader or Kylo Ren.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters on Dec. 15. Ridley may hit Gad long before that if he keeps this line of questioning going.
