While most of the nation watched the Seahawks and Patriots battle it out in Super Bowl XLIX, a geek subset was also keeping a close eye on the outcome as Captain America and Star-Lord had a bet on The Big Game.

The terms of the wager between actors Chris Evans and Chris Pratt was a visit in costume by the loser to a childrens’ hospital in the winner’s city. Had the Seahawks won, Evans was to stop by Seattle Children’s Hospital as Captain America. But since the Patriots came out on top, Pratt must go to Boston’s Christopher’s Haven as Star-Lord.
Though the Super Bowl had a winner and a loser — with the Patriots defeating the Seahawks, 28-24 — there won’t be any losers in the bet between Marvel movie superheroes. Both actors will be visiting those childrens’ hospitals in costume. Everybody wins!
Congrats to the world champions @patriots you were the better team tonight. I will be visiting @chris_haven as Starlord. #twitterbowl

coming there too! And lastly, I don’t think anyone can ever doubt the mental toughness of Tom Brady. Tough couple weeks, but he showed why

As cool and gracious as this is, however, there was a bet that Evans won and Pratt lost. So shouldn’t there be some stakes here? Maybe Star-Lord can climb the walls with some window-washing gear or something like that. Or maybe Pratt should also have to dress up as Captain America’s favorite lady, Agent Peggy Carter. Just thinking out loud.
