It’s on! Arrow’s Stephen Amell will face Stardust at SummerSlam

Arrow star Stephen Amell and WWE wrestler Stardust have been puffing their chests out at each other since May, when the grappler got in the actor’s face at ringside during a taping of RAW in New York. Since then, the two have taunted one another through social media, presumably building toward some kind of event.

We finally got some resolution on Monday when Amell attended another RAW event in Seattle as a “special guest.” Stardust interrupted a match between Neville and King Barrett, then noticed Amell sitting at ringside. Once again, the two stared down before Stardust shoved Amell in the face, touching off a brawl in the ring. Here’s the video:

And you know that wasn’t the end of it. Before being escorted from the arena by security, Amell got a lecture backstage from WWE executive vice president Triple H about being a spectator, rather than a participant. The Arrow star then asked for a tag-team match with him and Neville facing off against Stardust and Barrett. After initially scoffing at an actor wanting to get in the ring, Triple H agreed to Amell’s request and the match is scheduled for SummerSlam on Aug. 23 in Brooklyn.

“Don’t bring a stuntman,” Triple H warned. “This is on you.” Oh, this ought to be fun. You only have to wait two weeks!
