It’s been 20 years since Pink Floyd released a new album. But that wait will soon be over, according to the wife of band frontman David Gilmour. Novelist Polly Samson tweeted out this little nugget over the Fourth of July weekend.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called “The Endless River”. Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright’s swansong and very beautiful.

You have to love that “btw,” don’t you? Oh, by the way, here’s some huge news that legions of fans have surely been waiting for, but perhaps given up on after decades. Pink Floyd’s last studio album was 1994’s “The Division Bell,” and those sessions spawned this new project.
Wright, primarily a keyboardist with Pink Floyd from the late 60s to early 80s and a co-founder of the band, passed away in 2008.
