Report: Dave Bautista cast as new Bond villain, Hinx

Coming off playing Drax the Destroyer in this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy (in which he was surprisingly good), Dave Bautista would figure to be in higher demand. Maybe not in starring roles, but certainly for flashy supporting parts.

That’s indeed where the former WWE champion is going on the big screen, as Bautista has scored a gig as a villain in the next James Bond film. Put a set of metal teeth in his mouth and make him the new Jaws!

Producers have different ideas, however. According to Latino Review, Bautista will play Hinx, the main henchman of whomever the big villain of the 24th James Bond film turns out to be. Surely, he’ll put a pounding on poor ol’ Daniel Craig. The hope is that Hinx is as memorable a bad guy as Jaws and Oddjob in the Bond mythology.

Sam Mendes returns to direct the next Bond film, Craig’s fourth appearance as 007. The movie is set for a Dec. 6, 2015 release.
