Spidey’s just hanging out on new Spider-Man: Homecoming poster

Anything related to the next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, is bound to draw some interest. That’s especially true with Marvel taking the wheel on the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler’s adventures this time around.

Most of the news concerning Spider-Man: Homecoming has involved casting. Michael Keaton will play the main villain, The Vulture. Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. will be in the movie as Aunt May and Tony Stark. Other cast members include Donald Glover, Tony Revolori, Logan Marshall-Green, Hannibal Buress, Abraham Attah and Zendaya. There have also been some set photos from the production in Atlanta, including from star Tom Holland.

Now we have a look at some promotional material for the film, notably a poster that was seen on the floor at the MAGIC Las Vegas fashion trade show. Here’s a look, courtesy of Fright Rags on Instagram:

That looks pretty much like the Spider-Man we saw in Captain America: Civil War, though maybe there are some more technological elements to the suit, presumably from Tony Stark having tinkered with it some more.

But there’s definitely a playfulness here that hasn’t typically been seen in promo materials for the previous Spider-Man films, nor arguably in the movies themselves. Judging from what we saw in Civil War, the younger Spider-Man is going to be much more of a jokester.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for a July 7, 2017 release.
