Has it really been just over three years since Entourage ended its run on HBO? After an eight-season run, there wouldn’t seem to be many more stories to tell about Vincent Chase and his band of brothers. But apparently, that was wrong. The guys are back with a movie. (Eight seasons and a movie? Community‘s Abed would be proud.)
Here’s the trailer. It is really happening. And you know what? This looks pretty good.
I’m surely late to the party on this, but when did Jerry Ferrara lose all that weight? He looks great. How has he not been on the cover of Men’s Health? (OK, he talked to the magazine in 2011.) Of course, the trailer and movie address the (former) elephant in the room, with Ronda Rousey asking if Turtle used to be really fat. (Ferrara probably needs to talk to Haley Joel Osment, who looks… more robust since his days as a child star.) The MMA star is actually kind of the star of this trailer.
When I did watch Entourage regularly, I was always partial to Ari. Probably because I relate to his temper (though not his success). And it’s nice to see Jeremy Piven working. (Actually, that kind of goes for the entire cast, doesn’t it?) Maybe everyone involved was just waiting for the chance to play these characters again.
Entourage will hit theaters on June 5, 2015. It’s practically kicking off the summer movie season!
