Watch: Teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’

We don’t really know much about Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film, The Hateful Eight. But do we need to know much more than “Directed by Quentin Tarantino”?

Oh, and it’s hitting theaters on Christmas Day. But that will only be a present for some of us, as the Christmas rollout will be a limited release shown on 70mm. Most everyone else will see The Hateful Eight when it goes wide on Jan. 8.

The Weinstein Company has released a teaser trailer for Tarantino’s latest foray into the Western genre. Check out Samuel L. Jackson looking as badass as ever, along with an absolutely glorious mustache on Kurt Russell.

As you could see in the trailer, The Hateful Eight‘s cast also includes Jennifer Jason Leigh (who appears to have the most memorable role), Walton Goggins, Tim Roth and Tarantino regular Michael Madsen. Demian Bechir, Bruce Dern and Zoe Bell are also in the cast. And there are persistent rumors that Channing Tatum has some sort of role in this film.

The story takes place several years after the Civil War, with bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) taking the fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh) to justice. But the two, along with Jackson’s character, are stranded by a blizzard with five other travelers, some of whom may have eyes on collecting the bounty on Domergue themselves.

“One of them fellas is not what he says he is.” Maybe that’s all we need to know before seeing The Hateful Eight in theaters Jan. 8.
