One of the events is this weekend, as some of the most talented comedians will perform at The Comedy Get Down on July 25 at 8:00 p.m. in what is sure to be one of the best comedy events of the summer. The Comedy Get Down will feature Cedric ‘The Entertainer’, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, George Lopez and Charlie Murphy for a night of laughs and entertainment. Tickets to The Comedy Get Down have an average price of $136.39 and a get-in price of $85 on the secondary market, according to TotallyTickets.com.
Cedric the Entertainer has been in a plethora of movies, the most well-known probably being the Barbershop films, in addition to making a ton of television and comedy show appearances throughout his career. Hughley is one of The Original Kings of Comedy and is a guarantee to have everyone in the audience laughing. Hughley also has had many television appearances as well.
Griffin has had many comedy roles in movies, most notably in the Deuce Bigalow series, to go along with his hilarious appearance in Scary Movie 3. Lopez, meanwhile, has had success in many different mediums, including having his own sitcom, George Lopez, on the TBS television network that aired for six seasons.
Murphy is mostly recognized for his appearances on “Chappelle’s Show,” but has behind-the-scenes talents as well from his on-screen acting. Murphy writes and produces as well, as he wrote Norbit, which opened at No. 1 at the box office, according to the Chesapeake Energy Arena website.
