Watch: Spider-Man pops up in latest Captain America: Civil War TV ad

The theatrical release of Captain America: Civil War is less than two weeks away. (Though some of you lucky sons of a gun out there have already seen it. Who do I have to know, man?) Anticipation probably couldn’t be built to a higher point. That is, unless Marvel reveals just a little of what everyone arguably wants to see most in this movie: Spider-Man!

A new TV ad that began making the rounds Tuesday does indeed include a new glimpse of the web-slinger in action. Not only is this new cinematic version of Spider-Man taking to the air, swinging on his famed webs, but he’s also taking on the Winter Soldier, apparently trying to stop him from getting away. Take a look. Your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler makes his appearance at the 0:18 mark.

It’s been emphasized repeatedly how young this new, rebooted character will be on screen in Marvel’s hands. Spider-Man is a teenager, and we certainly get an indication of that when hearing his voice, marveling over the Winter Soldier’s cybernetic arm. “You have a metal arm?” he says. “That is awesome, dude!” Yeah, this isn’t Captain America or Iron Man. That’s a kid under the mask, which was the whole idea in starting Spider-Man over yet again.

In the meantime, we can try to pause this clip a few times to try and get a better look at Spider-Man’s costume, notably those mechanical web-shooters on his wrists. Though it is still a bit curious as to how much of that outfit is rendered via CGI and how much is a physical outfit.

If you didn’t already know, Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6.
